Family Winter Warmth

Thanks to our supporters we packed and distributed just under 300 winter packages, benefiting over 700 household members.

Working in collaboration with The Refugee Migrant Centre and Wolverhampton Muslim Forum to support those families and individuals more at need and experiencing financial hardship.

RMC Health and Wellbeing Officer Grace Kaplan stated, ' Thank you for the much needed winter essentials. Everyone who received a warm pack felt so grateful.

'We have so many families with children, living in hardship. Many are affected by chronic illness, and winter is especially challenging time for them'.

Baby Warm Pack Project

During this winter period, our team of volunteers distributed 50 baby packs to underserving families during the colder weather.

Poor health and Cost of Living Crisis has resulted in a significant burden on the families we support, especially among low-income groups, those with no recourse to public funds and living in poverty.

The harshness of nature, as families living with poor chronic health are unfairly impacted and suffer much during the colder period, while many are unable to use or have adequate heating to keep warm.

Each baby warm pack  contained items for a baby including mittens, gloves, hat, blanket, nappies, toiletries and other baby essentials.

Support from ASDA Foundation Community Grassroots Grant enabled us to help families impacted by chronic health or a disability,  to alleviate hardship, make a positive difference and take measures to ensure adequate warmth and reduce risk of illness for their babies

Tackling Female Hygiene Poverty

Thanks to the community and our amazing team of volunteers, we were able to pack and distribute over 150 Female Hygiene Care packages during July 2024.

Working in collaboration with Wolves Muslim Forum, Elms Resource Centre, The Refugee Migrant Centre and Wolverhampton Mosque Trust.

49 year old Sadeh from Whitmore Reans said, 'I really appreciate the help. I have type 1 diabetes and kidney disease. Caring for my teenage girls and myself is hard, especially when basic female products can be expensive'.
