Free Bus Travel Scheme

There’s great news for our community to provide opportunities, to excluded access, specifically to bus travel across West Midlands with discounted bus travel. This initiative is being rolled out by Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) in collaboration with Mina Foundation. 

You can take advantage of this offer if you are aged 16 years and over, living in Wolverhampton or Birmingham, and if you experience any of the following;

-A carer looking after family or friend with long term illness, heath condition or a disability.

-Aged 18 years and over seeking employment or education.

-Living in deprivation and/or experiencing hardship.

You can benefit from free bus travel via Swift technology and the nBus multi-operator bus ticketing scheme. This ticket allows unlimited travel across the entire West Midlands bus network, making it more inclusive and easier for you get out and about.

How to Apply

Due to high demand, this scheme is now closed.   

Current estimated waiting time to process applications is 7 days.

If successful, you will receive an email with a specific voucher code, along with instructions, explaining how to redeem, and claim a free bus travel card.

Please remember that only one application can be processed per person, and eligibility will be determined based on your responses. 
 

Your journey to free travel will start with the first 4-week Regional nBus ticket, followed by any discount or voucher codes.
